Delicate - Damien Rice
one of my favorite songs, ever. it’s so raw and emotional and beautiful

Falling, falling, falling.
Love has left me bruised in the past, but for the first time in quite a while I am letting myself fall in love.
There’s nothing like it, really. Nothing like spending time with someone for all the right reasons.
No bad intentions, no hiding, no lying. Just love.
I intend to make the most of this. To let myself be happy.

and i swear sometimes it’s hard to know if you’re falling in love for the right reasons, hard to know if the reasons for falling even matter. and it’s hard sometimes to not mix up love with wanting to fix someone, wanting to fix each other, wanting to put back together the broken pieces. is that love? it’s hard to know because there is a lot to say for finding beauty in all the broken places, for wanting to mend all the things that were destroyed in each other by the people that came and went.
Reasons why today is a good day:
-no work
-shopping with the best friend
-first date tonight with a boy who called me beautiful
-butterflies
-sun shining through the window
-cat sleeping with her head rested on my MacBook
